Laurie-Ève-Cormier Aquatic Complex

Commercial

2017

Boucherville

The Laurie-Ève-Cormier Aquatic Complex, located in Boucherville, underwent a major expansion in 2017 to better meet the growing needs of the sports community. The architectural concept is rooted in the symbolic strength of the circle, a universal form that evokes a dynamic, timeless, and inclusive architecture. The project notably includes two new 25-metre indoor pools totaling 18 lanes, a recreational pool, water play features, as well as several sports and multipurpose spaces designed for citizens, athletes, and local organizations.

As part of this project, Céragrès contributed to the building envelope with 6,500 square feet of Agrob Buchtal ceramic façade panels, using the KeraTwin® K20 system. The company also supplied the ceramic surfaces for the indoor pool basins.

Play of color and architectural rhythm

The façade stands out through a graphic composition created from a blend of blue tones, punctuated by distinct touches of lemon yellow and glacier white. This dynamic palette highlights the flexibility of the ventilated façade system, which makes it possible to create plays of color and architectural rhythms while providing a durable and high performing solution for the building envelope.
