Material Handler – Samples

We are looking for a Sample Handler to join our team and contribute to the day-to-day operations of our sample department. Receiving and organizing merchandise, preparing and shipping orders, creating and cutting samples: a hands-on, dynamic role that requires attention to detail, efficiency, and an interest in manual work.

About the role:
Responsibilities:
- Manage the receiving of merchandise and coordinate with carriers.
- Unpack, code, distribute, and store items.
- Process and prepare orders.
- Assist with the creation of 5x8 samples.
- Assist with sample cutting.
- Pack and ship orders.
- Manage, organize, and store merchandise safely and efficiently.
- Prepare the documentation required for shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Perform cycle counts and verify raw material inventory.
- Follow scheduled maintenance and inspection requirements for forklifts and all lifting equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse on a daily basis.
- Safely operate material handling equipment (electric pallet jack or forklift).
- Follow all safety procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 2 years of experience in a similar role (an asset)
- Forklift training (an asset)
- Good physical fitness
- Enjoy hands-on work
