Sales Consultant

The incumbent is responsible for supporting clients throughout their purchasing process for ceramics, plumbing accessories, countertops and installation materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients visiting the boutique while respecting whether the client belongs to a colleague, comes from the professional program or is related to commercial projects.
  • Answer incoming calls and emails.
  • Participate in the design planning of client spaces based on their needs and budget by advising on various products (tiles, countertops, fine plumbing, heated floors and installation materials).
  • Advise clients on quantity calculations and reserve products in the computerized system according to internal practices.
  • Participate in training provided by suppliers, designers and Céragrès on products, as well as any other training related to improving responsibilities and or business processes.
  • Prepare quotes and estimates for clients using the computerized order system.
  • Participate in the development of new clients (prospecting designers by phone, networking, participating in in store design events and interacting with designers).
  • Assist in organizing samples in the appropriate areas in the boutique, labeling panels, cleaning, etc.
  • Maintain the showroom in impeccable condition.
  • Participate in preparing returns received in the boutique for shipment to the Céragrès warehouse.
  • Process orders and enter them into the system (SAP).
  • Convert quotes into orders.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery timelines are met.
  • Communicate with clients to assess after sales service, validate customer satisfaction and improve Céragrès processes.
  • Assist colleagues in order to better serve clients.
  • Validate inventory stock levels.
  • Coordinate product deliveries to clients.
  • For plumbing and countertop products, communicate directly with the relevant suppliers.
  • Perform any other related customer service tasks to ensure a consistent, efficient and high quality customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Completed high school diploma; any training in sales, customer service or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service (a strong asset).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Ability to identify client needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Organizational skills, autonomy and strong ability to manage priorities.
  • Team spirit and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Dynamic, personable and professional attitude.
  • Knowledge of basic computer tools (Microsoft Office suite, point of sale systems or CRM).
  • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written.
