Summary

The position holder is responsible for assisting clients in the process of buying ceramic tiles, giving proper advice on the products to satisfy their needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients that visit the showroom and handle the design for clients based on their needs and budgets;
  • Provide advice to clients on the various products and possible designs, making sketches upon need;
  • Perform calculations for chosen product reservation and verify merchandise inventory;
  • Prepare quotations (estimates) for clients using the order management system;
  • Follow up after the sale with clients regarding their orders (shipping delays, addition of quantities, etc.);
  • Participate in design events at the showroom and interact with designers;
  • Participate to the development of a new clientele (solicitation of designers by phone, networking, etc.);
  • Participate in the production of samples and place them at the appropriate location;
  • Participate in the inventory of samples to order;
  • Participate upon need in the general maintenance and the opening or closing process of the showroom;
  • Computerize clients’ orders using the order management system and handle the monetary transaction when completing a sale, a return of merchandise or the modification of an order.

Requirements

  • Diploma in relation with the job (design, architecture, interior decoration, etc.) or equivalent experience ;
  • Master the local language and intermediate knowledge of the second language (oral) ;
  • Minimal experience of 2 years in retail sales (ideally in the sector of interior design);
  • Demonstrated customer service & sales skills;
  • Ability to maintain durable relations with a clientele;
  • Curiosity and up-to-date on design tendencies;
  • Ability to perform calculations (imperial system) ;
  • Ability to interpret plans;
  • Ability to vulgarize technical information to clients;
  • Functional computer skills (MS Outlook);
  • Solid abilities and interest in sales and design;
  • Ability to lift weights of two (2) to ten (10) kilos while moving ;
  • Ability to work standing up for a period of six (6) to huit (8) heure.
